Though "IN BETWEEN" marks her debut as a recording artist, Ellory Grace hardly arrives as a blank slate. A model, actress, and youth advocate who has spent years in front of cameras, from campaigns with global brands to appearances in ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, and Glamour, as well as runways in Paris, Milan, and New York, she understands performance.
What’s more striking is how little "IN BETWEEN" feels like performance at all.
With "IN BETWEEN", Ellory introduces an artist more interested in emotional truth than tidy conclusions.

“I usually know something mattered because I can’t seem to leave it alone,” Ellory says. “I keep replaying it in my head, trying to figure out what shifted. Sometimes I still can’t. So I wrote about it instead.”

Co-written by Ellory and developed in Los Angeles with producer Justin Tinucci and collaborator Lynnzee Fraye, "IN BETWEEN" intentionally avoids forcing emotional resolution.
Its imagery is delicate but emotionally precise: paper boats, bleeding ink, sea glass chimes, disappearing footsteps.
Even its emotional center arrives as a question:
“is the stop sign commanding / or am i just listening”
That’s an unusual choice for a debut, especially in a landscape where first releases often feel pressured to arrive fully formed.
Ellory chooses ambiguity instead.
Not because the emotions are smaller.
Because some emotions don’t arrive fully explained.
“Growing up modeling, my life looked really put together from the outside,” she says. “Music became the place where the version of me that was still figuring things out could actually exist.”
That contrast matters.
Because "IN BETWEEN" sounds less like a polished artist introduction and more like an internal scene unfolding in real time.
And that’s what makes it believable.
Outside entertainment, Ellory’s work has also extended into youth advocacy, mental health initiatives, and philanthropy, efforts that have earned her two U.S. Presidential Service Awards.
