At just 19 years old, Ava Jade Vasquez is proving that success isn't determined by where you come from...it's determined by what you're willing to work for. Representing Miss Coachella Valley Teen USA as she prepares to compete for the coveted Miss California Teen USA 2026 title, Ava brings much more than poise and confidence to the stage. She is a licensed real estate agent, entrepreneur, content creator, and founder of She Knows Money, a platform dedicated to helping young women build financial confidence and independence.

After graduating high school with not only her diploma but also an Associate's Degree in Business through dual enrollment, Ava earned her real estate license at just 18 years old, becoming one of the youngest professionals in her field. Her journey has become a powerful example of what happens when preparation meets courage.

Growing up in California's Coachella Valley, Ava often felt that many exciting opportunities existed somewhere else. "I was inspired to compete because opportunities like Miss California Teen USA don't come around very often where I grew up," she shares. "Living in the Coachella Valley, I learned that sometimes you have to create your own opportunities and be willing to take a chance when one presents itself." That mindset led her to compete in her very first pageant last year. Although she didn't place, she doesn't see it as a loss.

Instead, she calls it her preparation year. "It taught me resilience, confidence, and that growth only happens when you're willing to step into something unfamiliar. Looking back, I'm grateful I didn't let fear stop me from trying." For Ava, Miss California Teen USA isn't simply about earning a title. "It's a platform. It's a microphone that allows me to share my message with young women across California."

When asked about her proudest accomplishment, Ava doesn't hesitate. Graduating high school while simultaneously earning her Associate's Degree and shortly afterward becoming a licensed real estate agent stands at the top of her list. But for Ava, those milestones represent something much bigger.

"Those experiences taught me that success isn't about talent...it's about discipline and consistency."

She believes every achievement she's earned has come from showing up every day, remaining committed, and believing in herself even when challenges appeared. Those lessons have carried into every aspect of her life, including pageantry. "They reminded me that growth comes from taking action, even before you feel completely ready."

If there's one message Ava hopes every young girl remembers, it's this: Don't wait until you feel ready.

"Confidence doesn't come before you begin...it comes because you begin."

She encourages girls to stop comparing themselves to others and instead focus on becoming just a little better every day. "The first time you try something new, you're probably not going to be the best at it and that's okay. Every successful person started as a beginner." Her advice is refreshingly honest in today's comparison culture. "Don't compare your Chapter 1 to someone else's Chapter 20." Instead, she encourages young women to stay disciplined, continue learning, and never let the fear of being new stop them from becoming great.

As Ava puts it: "Sometimes the path you've never taken is the one that changes your life forever."

Should Ava earn the title of Miss California Teen USA, she already knows exactly how she'd use her year of service. Through She Knows Money, she hopes to continue teaching financial literacy, confidence, and practical life skills that many students never learn in school. She also hopes to educate young people about opportunities like dual enrollment. An experience that helped accelerate both her education and career while saving valuable time and money. Perhaps her biggest dream is bringing more opportunities home.

"Growing up, I often felt that many exciting opportunities existed everywhere except where I lived."

One day, she hopes to create a pageant or leadership program in the Coachella Valley that allows local girls to compete, build confidence, and dream bigger without having to leave their own community.

"My goal is simple: to leave every young woman believing she's capable of more than she ever imagined."

In an era where social media often rewards perfection over authenticity, Ava has chosen a different path.

Whether she's sharing her pageant journey, working in real estate, creating motivational content, or educating young women through She Knows Money, she wants people to meet the exact same person online that they would meet in real life. "I don't strive to be perfect...I strive to be authentic." For Ava, social media isn't about collecting followers. It's about creating impact. "If one young girl watches my content and decides to believe in herself, pursue a goal, or take a chance because she saw me do it first, then every video, every post, and every moment has been worth it." Those words perfectly summarize the young woman behind the sash.

While crowns, titles, and accomplishments are certainly impressive, Ava believes true success is measured differently. "At the end of the day, my greatest accomplishment won't be measured by followers or titles, it will be measured by the lives I inspire. "With her determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and genuine heart for empowering others, Ava Jade Vasquez is already making an impact far beyond the pageant stage. As she prepares to compete for the title of Miss California Teen USA 2026, one thing is certain: she isn't just chasing opportunities...she's creating them, while inspiring countless young women to do the same.
