For Jayah Gill, the journey to becoming Miss Sacramento Teen USA 2026 has never been about wearing a crown—it's been about discovering her voice, serving others, and inspiring young people to believe in their own potential. As she prepares to compete for the title of Miss California Teen USA, Jayah brings an impressive combination of leadership, entrepreneurship, academic excellence, and community service that has already made a lasting impact throughout Northern California. With more than 1,000 hours of volunteer service, a thriving small business, and a passion for helping others find purpose, Jayah is proving that true success is measured by the lives you uplift along the way.
Growing up, Jayah describes herself as a shy young girl who often struggled with stepping outside of her comfort zone. Everything changed when she discovered pageantry.
"Competing for Miss California Teen USA is deeply personal to me because pageantry helped me discover confidence I never knew I had," Jayah shares. "The stage became the place where I found my voice."
After attending the Miss California USA production in Indian Wells last year, she left inspired by the confidence, professionalism, and ambition of the contestants. "I remember watching these incredible young women who were so accomplished, well-spoken, and driven," she recalls. "I knew I wanted to challenge myself to become one of them." Now, just one year later, Jayah is preparing to take that very stage herself as a contestant, eager to continue growing while inspiring others to do the same.
One issue especially close to Jayah's heart is helping teenagers discover purpose and direction in life. She recognizes that many young people today feel overwhelming pressure to have every aspect of their future planned, often leading to anxiety, uncertainty, and self-doubt. "I want teens to know that purpose isn't something you magically find one day," she explains. "It's something you build through experiences, serving others, and trying new things." That belief inspired her to create Purpose to Prosper, a platform dedicated to encouraging community service as a pathway to personal growth. Having volunteered since childhood, Jayah has experienced firsthand how giving back can shape character, strengthen communities, and help young people discover passions they never knew they had. "Community service gives people something bigger than themselves to work toward," she says. "It helps create purpose while making a real difference in someone else's life."
Service has become the foundation of nearly everything Jayah does. She has dedicated much of her volunteer work to the City of Elk Grove Animal Shelter, where her compassion for animals has transformed countless lives. Through fostering and volunteering, she has cared for everything from frightened feral cats learning to trust people through exposure therapy to pit bulls recovering from surgery and orphaned kittens needing around-the-clock care. "Watching an animal go from scared and uncertain to happy and loved is one of the most rewarding experiences," she says. "It reminds me how powerful patience, compassion, and second chances can be."
Outside of community service, Jayah's accomplishments continue to reflect her drive for excellence. Throughout high school she challenged herself academically through Advanced Placement and college-level coursework while serving in Associated Student Body (ASB) leadership, competing in athletics, participating in pageantry, operating her own small business, and completing over 1,000 volunteer hours.
As the owner of Crafts by Jayah, she creates beautifully hand-painted banners for special events, combining creativity with entrepreneurship. Her artistic talents extend beyond business as well. A former pianist, theatre actress, and volleyball player, Jayah continues exploring new interests including horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, reading, and even learning the game of golf alongside her father. Balancing so many responsibilities requires discipline and careful planning, something Jayah says took time to master. "The biggest lesson I learned was time management," she explains. "Creating a schedule, prioritizing my goals, and sticking to a timeline allows me to give my best to everything while still making time to recharge."
Whether spending weekends with family and friends or enjoying her favorite hobbies, Jayah understands that maintaining balance is just as important as pursuing success. When asked what advice she would offer younger girls dreaming of competing one day, her message reflects the confidence she has worked so hard to build. "Believe in yourself before anyone else does," she says. "Pageantry isn't about being perfect. It's about growth, authenticity, and having the courage to tell your story. Your uniqueness is your greatest strength, and you'll never know what you're capable of unless you're willing to step outside your comfort zone."
As Miss Sacramento Teen USA, Jayah Gill represents a generation of young women who are redefining leadership through compassion, resilience, and service. Whether she's advocating for volunteerism through Purpose to Prosper, helping vulnerable animals find loving homes, running her own business, or inspiring others to pursue their passions, she continues to demonstrate that purpose is built one meaningful action at a time.
As she prepares to compete for the title of Miss California Teen USA, Jayah already embodies the qualities of an exceptional titleholder: integrity, determination, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Teen Vibes Magazine is proud to spotlight Jayah's remarkable journey and looks forward to watching her continue inspiring others to lead lives filled with purpose, service, and confidence.
