For Noelani Pese, courage isn't just a word...it's a way of life. As Miss Placentia Teen USA, the recent graduate of the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Musical Theatre Conservatory is preparing to compete for the title of Miss California Teen USA while continuing to inspire others through leadership, the performing arts, and service. Whether she's captivating audiences on stage, mentoring young people, or advocating for kindness and inclusion, Noelani is determined to use every opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
A gifted performer and passionate leader, Noelani has spent years developing her talents in dance, musical theatre, and public speaking. Throughout her time at OCSA, she appeared in numerous theatrical productions, including portraying the iconic role of Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. But for Noelani, performing has always been about more than applause. It has been a platform to tell stories, connect with others, and inspire confidence. Her dedication extends beyond the stage as the founder of the BRAVE Club, an organization dedicated to encouraging inclusivity, kindness, confidence, and authenticity among young people. She also serves as the National Curriculum Coordinator for AAPISU, helping create educational programs that celebrate leadership, culture, and diversity. Proud of her American Samoan heritage, Noelani is passionate about representing her culture while empowering others to embrace who they are without fear.
One of Noelani's proudest accomplishments was earning acceptance into the highly competitive Musical Theatre Conservatory at OCSA which was a dream she had held since kindergarten. She credits that experience with teaching her discipline, perseverance, and resilience. Between long school days, Advanced Placement classes, rehearsals, leadership commitments, and managing the BRAVE Club, Noelani quickly learned that achieving meaningful goals requires both relentless determination and intentional self-care. Along the way, she also learned one of life's most valuable lessons: setbacks are often stepping stones to something greater. "I've lost more roles, pageants, and opportunities than I've won," Noelani shares. "But I never let that stop me because I believe what is meant for you, God will never let pass you by. Rejection is just redirection." It's a philosophy that has helped her face every challenge with grace, humility, and optimism.
This fall marks another exciting chapter as Noelani begins college while pursuing some truly ambitious dreams. She hopes to become an award winning theatre and film director, work as a Disneyland Cast Member, grow the BRAVE Club into a thriving nonprofit organization, and eventually transfer to the University of Southern California to continue her education. Competing in Miss California Teen USA has only strengthened those ambitions. Through the pageant experience, Noelani says she has developed stronger interview skills, greater confidence, improved public speaking abilities, and valuable lessons in leadership, time management, and interpersonal communication. Just as meaningful, she has gained a sisterhood of inspiring young women who encourage one another to reach even greater heights.
For younger girls dreaming of following a similar path, Noelani offers advice rooted in faith and self belief. "If God put a dream in your heart, there's a reason," she says. "Never let failure, challenges, or fear stop you from pursuing your dreams. You are worthy, capable, and no one else is you....and that's your superpower." Her unwavering faith has become the foundation of her life, providing strength during both victories and disappointments. Noelani believes that every challenge serves a greater purpose and that trusting God's plan has allowed her to overcome obstacles while continuing to grow into the young woman she was created to be.
If crowned Miss California Teen USA, Noelani already has a clear vision for how she hopes to serve the state. She plans to build her year around a three step mission centered on accessibility, creativity, and community impact. First, she hopes to make as many appearances as possible, connecting directly with communities across California while supporting organizations such as Best Buddies and Altadena Girls. Her commitment to service is already well established. Through the BRAVE Club, she has hosted a booth at the Best Buddies Walk for three consecutive years, helping promote inclusion and celebrate individuals of all abilities. Second, Noelani plans to use her background in theatre, film, and digital media to creatively promote the Miss California Teen USA organization and its sponsors while inspiring more young women to discover the confidence and opportunities that pageantry can provide.

At her core, Noelani Pese believes leadership is about lifting others higher than yourself. Whether she's directing future productions, mentoring students through the BRAVE Club, celebrating her American Samoan heritage, or representing her community on the Miss California Teen USA stage, she hopes to leave a legacy defined by authenticity, compassion, courage, and unwavering positivity. Her journey is a beautiful reminder that success isn't measured simply by titles earned or awards received...it's measured by the lives you touch along the way.
As Noelani prepares to compete for the coveted title of Miss California Teen USA, one thing is already certain: she is much more than a talented performer or accomplished student. She is a leader with a servant's heart, a young woman of deep faith, and a role model who reminds others that bravery begins the moment you decide to be unapologetically yourself. Teen Vibes Magazine is proud to spotlight Noelani's inspiring journey and looks forward to watching all that she accomplishes in the years to come.
